The Right to Life
The International Youth Coalition represents young leaders who believe authentic human rights begin with the right to life. Yet, within the United Nations, powerful countries and UN agencies promote policies that deny this basic right, thereby weakening the foundation of human dignity that the UN was established to defend. We call on the United Nations to return to its founding ideals, recognizing that true progress is achieved only when every human life is valued and protected.
We stand and love them both, mother and child. Women deserve real support and authentic solutions, not the false promise that freedom requires ending a life. Every unborn child is a human being with limitless potential, and many will grow to be the girls and women whose rights the UN pledges to uphold. To defend life is to defend women, to honor their dignity, strength, and irreplaceable role in building a culture of peace and compassion.
Restoring the Family to Its Place at the Heart of Human Rights
The family is humanity’s first community, where every person learns love, responsibility, and respect for others. At the United Nations, however, ideological disagreements over what ‘family’ means have paralyzed genuine support. The institution once called the family the natural and fundamental group unit of society, yet today hesitates to acknowledge it as a bearer of rights. We call for a renewed commitment to the family as the cornerstone of human development and peace.
A New Generation Speaking for Life
At global forums, the voices of youth are often portrayed as uniformly in favor of abortion and so-called ‘sexual rights.’ This narrow narrative excludes countless young people worldwide who believe real progress honors both women and their children, strengthens families, and defends human life at every stage. We represent that silent majority—the youth who choose compassion over convenience, and truth over ideology.

IYc operates under its parent organization, the Center for Family and Human Rights (C-Fam). The Center for Family and Human Rights (C-Fam) is a community of public policy professionals that bring interdisciplinary research and analysis to inform the international social policy debate. Since its founding in New York in 1997, C-Fam remains the only pro-life and pro-family organization working exclusively on international social policy.
C-Fam conducts, promotes, and publishes legal and policy research analyzing timely issues in international relations, development and humanitarian assistance, law, medicine, political philosophy, and security studies.
